In 1987, Rosalie Vass introduced her signature style that continues
to fascinate and please audiences. She uses mixed water media
(watercolor and acrylic) in a layering technique on heavy
watercolor paper. After the paint has dried, she adds scribbled
lines from prisma color pencils to heighten the texture and the
direction of movement. Her choice of subject matter is infinite;
ranging from cows to angels and fish to goats and anything else that
comes to mind.
Rosalie paints in all sizes and shapes. The
range is from tiny (5” x 7”) to very large (3’x 4’).
